The landscape of the 11th year since the Great East Japan Earthquake taken by Takuroh Toyama and the words of the land spoken over the past 11 years by Natsumi Seo.
Photo poetry book titled “New Habitations: from North to East 11 years after 3.11” is consisted of “Scenes of New Habitations” that are woven from the present and the past of the disaster-stricken areas.

We are happy to announce to hold the exhibition of this book “New Habitations: from North to East 11 years after 3.11” (2023, YYY PRESS).

The venue is Studio04 in Nishi-Oshima, the base of Arts Council Tokyo’s program “Karoku-Recycle” (http://nook.or.jp/karoku/). The exhibition will include large prints of photographs from the book, poems scattered throughout the book, and a slide show including previously unpublished cuts of the book.

On the last day of the exhibition, novelist Wen Yuju will be invited as a guest to discuss the scenes of the 11th year with Takuroh Toyama and Natsumi Seo.
Please come and see “New Habitations” that emerge in a form different from that of the book.
